New York, NY, New York
I love these hotels since they all tend to provide a unique, local feel to the city. Not only are they funky and have a great location to explore the city, but they also make it enjoyable to spend time in your hotel when you’re in the city. Many of them have also made an effort to incorporate either the history of the neighborhood or of the building too!
What’s not to love about New York? I’ve been living there off and on for almost 10 years, and I never get tired of finding new things to explore. There’s always something new going on--concerts, shows, pop-up events, and more. There’s an energy here unlike any other city in the world, and there’s a reason why it’s called the City of Dreams--everyone is looking to reach theirs.
There’s so much to do in New York! You can always do the more tourist-friendly activities like check out the Empire State Building, visit Lady Liberty, and have a picnic in Central Park, but I recommend heading to locals’ favorite spots too. If you can think about almost any activity, then it probably exists.
Here are few recommendations I would recommend:
Axe throwing at Bury the Hatchet
Hudson River cruise with Classic Harbor Line
Walking the Brooklyn Bridge
Heading to the New York Botanical Gardens
Getting dumplings in Chinatown
Nathan’s Hot Dogs , Enzo’s , Ivan Ramen , Ix , Prospect Pizza
